British pop star Jessie J has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
The Price Tag, Domino and Bang Bang singer, 37, shared the news in a video detailing her health situation on Wednesday, saying she plans to have surgery after her performance at the Summertime Ball in London on June 15.
“I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period,” she said of the news she had “been holding onto for nine weeks.”

“I just wanted to be open and share it — one, because selfishly I don’t talk about it enough. I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard.
“I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me — with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories.
“I’m an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much — similar, and worse.”
The popular entertainer said she had been weighing up when to tell her fans.
“To get diagnosed with this as I’m putting out a song called No Secrets, right before a song called Living My Best Life, which were all pre-planned before I found out about this — I mean, you can’t make it up,” she said.
Following her performance in just over a week, she will take a break to undergo surgery.
“It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job,” she joked. “I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery. And I will come back with massive t**s and more music.”
Fellow singer Rita Ora was among those who offered messages of support.
“You’re literally my favourite person and I’m praying for you. You’ve got this,” Ora said.
“My mother had it, and I know the surgery and any treatment on this matter is mentally tough, so I’m here for you.”
Jessie J, a mother of one, has been open about her health in the past — including a diagnosis of Meniere’s disease, an inner ear condition that can cause severe dizzy spells and hearing loss.
In 2021, she announced she had suffered a miscarriage, and in 2024 revealed she had been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
