Brownlow medallist Ollie Wines and partner Olivia have announced are expecting their first child together.

The news doubled as a gender reveal, with the pair sharing pictures after cutting open a blue cake.

“Soon to be three,” Olivia wrote.

The couple’s baby joy gave Port Adelaide reason to smile after losing the Showdown to Adelaide on Saturday night.

“Couldn’t love this more,” the club wrote.

Olivia’s post received well wishes from around the AFL.

Kellie Finlayson, wife of Port star Jeremy, wrote: “Congratulations beautiful humans.”

Charlotte Viney, wife of Melbourne’s Jack, said: “So happy!!”

Wines paid a heartfelt tribute to Olivia when he won the 2021 Brownlow Medal relatively early in their relationship.

“You’re probably the reason for my success this year,” he said.

“So thanks very much and hopefully we’re back here next year.”
