A motorcyclist is fighting for life after crashing with a car on the Sunshine Coast.

The man, aged in his 20s, crashed with the car on the corner of Bermuda St and Oyster Rd at Burleigh Heads about 8.47pm on Wednesday.

Queensland Ambulance Service said multiple paramedics, including the High Acuity Response Unit, treated him for significant head, pelvic and limb injuries.

He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The driver of the car is not believed to have been physically injured.

Queensland Police have been contacted for comment.
