A cash boost will begin flowing into thousands of Victorian bank accounts this week.
The $100 Power Saving Bonus was announced late last month as applications to receive the cost-of-living support opened to millions of people.
About 70,000 people have so far submitted an application for the cash injection.

More than 10 per cent of those residents were assisted with their application by a community outreach program, spearheaded by Neighbourhood Houses and over the phone through the helpline.
Applications still remain open for those with a valid concession card and a recent residential electricity bill.
Households that are off the grid and do not have a residential energy account are not eligible.
Those who do not have internet access, or who need extra support, can also go to one of the 250 participating Neighbourhood Houses, to get in-person help with their application.
Eligible Victorian households can otherwise apply for the Power Saving Bonus through the Victorian Energy Compare (VEC) website.
The government urged residents to try find even more savings onthe site.
“Everyone should visit the free Victorian Energy Compare website to see if they can slash their energy bills by switching providers,” Minister for Energy and Resources Lily D’Ambrosio said.
People on the site typically saved about $240 annually in energy bill costs by doing so, the Victoria Government said.
Successful applicants should receive their payment within 10 days of submitting their application.
