A motorcyclist who was hit by a ute and left injured on the road has spoken about the terrifying ordeal.
Camille Gittins, 27, was riding her Honda Rebel 500 at the roundabout on Homestead Dr and Blueberry Ash Ct in Flagstone, about 50 minutes south of Brisbane in Queensland, just after midday on Sunday.
“I was just moving and grooving, dancing down the road,” she told 7NEWS.

Then, a white ute pulled out from a side street and at a two-lane roundabout, she stayed in the right lane while the ute moved to the left without indicating.
“I thought, if he’s in that left lane, maybe he’s seen me and he’s gonna let me pass,” Gittins said.

She said she sped up slightly to about 50 to 55 km/h.
“He’s decided to just blast straight through the middle of both lanes,” Gittins said.
“It’s kind of forced me up against the gutter, the back of his tray side-swiped the front of my handlebars and it flicked me off the left-hand side of the bike.”
She hit the ground hard, rolling multiple times.
“I try to roll to my left to get up and then I realised I can’t put weight on my arm, like my arm, it’s wrecked.”
The driver allegedly disappeared but came back about 10 minutes later.
Gittins claimed this was for him to: “Have a look to make sure he didn’t kill me, to sleep better at night I guess.”
He then drove off again.

The 27-year-old rider was taken to hospital with a broken wrist and bruising and is determined to raise awareness about road safety for motorcyclists.
“We’re not all speed demons. I was just enjoying my Sunday afternoon,” she said.
“And to the man that hit me: ‘I hope you can’t sleep at night’.”
Gittins’ close friend and mentor, Michael Healy from Ride For Life, suffered his own hit-and-run crash just weeks ago.
The 47-year-old lost his right leg below the knee but survived because he followed the safety advice he now teaches other riders.
“He’s practically an uncle to me and has been a great mentor,” Gittins said.
“He did everything he preaches and that’s what kept him alive. We’re just so grateful he’s still here.”

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
The vehicle involved is described as an older white Toyota LandCruiser utility with a tray and toolbox attached.
