Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man found with shocking stab wounds at a home in far west NSW.
The man, aged in his 40s, was found in a home on Duff St, Broken Hill, an outback town 30 minutes east of the South Australian border, about 11.50pm on Thursday.
He was found with multiple stab wounds to his neck when emergency services responded to concern for welfare reports, NSW Police said.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man, but he could not be revived.
He is yet to be formally identified.
Forensics experts were called in to examine the home, which has been declared a crime scene, and a homicide investigation is ongoing.
