A teenager has been stabbed during a brawl inside a shopping centre in Melbourne’s north.

The fight between six men broke out about 3.50pm on Tuesday at a shopping centre on Pascoe Vale Road in Broadmeadows, police said.

A teenager was stabbed during the brawl and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with wounds to his arm and head.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Six men were spotted fleeing the scene.

The fight allegedly began with a verbal clash, but quickly escalated.

A witness said at least one of the attackers was armed with a sword.

Victoria Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with further information to come forward.
