Two men hospitalised after being struck by a fallen tree

The duo were injured at Mangrove Mountain, on the NSW Central Coast.

Two men have been hospitalised after being struck by a fallen tree.

Emergency services were called to Waratah Road, at Mangrove Mountain on the NSW Central Coast, about 3pm on Friday to reports two men were trapped beneath a fallen tree.

CareFlight and Toll Helicopters were dispatched to the scene, were a CareFlight specialist doctor and NSW paramedics treated the two men.

One patient, a man in his 70s, was transported by CareFlight to Westmead Hospital is a serious but stable condition with a head laceration and suspected arm injury.

The second patient was transported by Toll Helicopter to Liverpool Hospital with a suspected head injury in a serious but stable condition.

The daughter of one of the men said both patients are “doing good” after being rescued.

“The tree was huge, they are so so lucky to be alive,” she wrote online.
