CCTV footage from a phone repair store opposite the jewellery store captured the car smashing into its cabinets, while the rear of the car repeatedly rammed the roller shutters of the shop and causing significant damage.

The two people entered Prouds the Jewellers with sacks and allegedly stole a large number of valuables before fleeing the scene.

The phone repair store manager said this is the third time the store has been robbed.

“The jewellery store has always been targeted.”

This is the second jewellery shop robbery by car smashing in three days following a similar incident at Gladstone Central Plaza shopping centre on Friday.

The car has not been located and police investigations are continuing.
