A teenager has died in a head-on collision.

He was behind the wheel of a white Mazda when it crashed with a white Kia Seltos on Fernvale Rd at Brassall — a suburb of Ipswich in Queensland — about 8.40pm on Friday.

The 18-year-old man died at the scene.

The 24-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Kia was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

“Forensic Crash Unit investigations remain ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash,” Queensland Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any relevant dashcam footage has been urged to come forward.
