Sydney Sick Kids Appeal 2025

People like you can make a major difference to thousands of little lives by helping fund life-saving equipment, innovative research and world-class services and care.

7NEWS Sydney has partnered with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation for the annual Sydney Sick Kids Appeal.

Sydney Sick Kids Appeal is one of Sydney Children Hospitals Foundation’s (SCHF) major appeals — aiming to raise millions to support treatment, research, and patient experience across the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN) — including both of Sydney’s children’s hospitals at Westmead and Randwick.

Donate today by heading to the Sydney Sick Kids website or call 1800 244 537. All donations are tax-deductible.

This year’s annual Sydney Sick Kids Day is on Thursday, June 5, and thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, every donation made on Sydney Sick Kids Day will be matched to the value of $250,000 — dollar for dollar! Now’s the time to make a tax-deductible donation and double the impact.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of essential equipment, fund lifesaving research, and make the highest standard of care possible across SCHN to change the future for sick kids.

Vivid Sydney Dream Scene

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation is also bringing kids’ dreams alive at Sydney’s Vivid Festival.

Dream Scene is an immersive light installation at the Vivid Light Walk at Tumbalong Park, where visitors can draw their own dreams at interactive stations and see them projected in lights.

The digital mural showcases artwork created by young patients from Sydney’s two children’s hospitals, allowing visitors to “press play” on childhood, helping sick kids continue dreaming, even from hospital.

7NEWS Sydney has been a proud supporter of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation for more than a decade.
