A man has been charged over a suspected shooting that left another man dead in regional NSW.
The 37-year-old victim was allegedly shot after an altercation just before 3am on Monday on Connorton Ave at Ashmont, southwest of Wagga Wagga.
Paramedics treated him at the scene, but he could not be revived.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 35-year-old man at a home on Lady Loch Crescent in Narrandera about 9.30am on Thursday.
He has been charged with murder and is due to face court on Friday.
During a search of the place, officers seized several items of clothing for forensic examination.
Local resident Sabar Ejaz told 7NEWS he was woken at about 2am on Monday by the sounds of people running, yelling and shouting, which lasted for more than an hour.
Another neighbour said Ashmont was usually a quiet area.
