A man found guilty of murder has lashed out at the prosecution as he awaits his sentencing over a shooting in 2023.
Keith Yandle labelled a prosecutor a liar in court on Monday, continuing to plead his case to the court.
Yandle maintains he was acting in self-defence when he opened fire on Steven Murphy at his northern Adelaide property.

The prosecution said Yandle came ‘armed and ready’ that night of the shooting, which caused an outburst from Yandle.
“Can you prove that? That’s a lie” Yandle said in court, rompting a stern rebuke from the judge, Justice Bampton.

Following an intense three-week trial, the 48-year-old was found guilty of murder, having shot Murphy four times at close range. His murder was captured on CCTV at the Kudla property.
It was key evidence from Yandle’s intellectually disabled brother that led police to find Murphy’s body buried two metres under Yandle’s shed.

Murphy’s mother, in her victim impact statement on Monday, described the anguish of losing her son in such horrific circumstances.
“The pain in my chest is like an open wound,” she said in court.
“It’s like being on a rollercoaster, and you can’t get off.”
Murphy’s former partner Danielle Rogers said their two young sons are distraught and rarely sees them “smile, laugh or giggle.”
“I can’t fix their broken hearts,” she said, also labelling Yandle a “heartless pig”.
Murphy’s uncle on Monday laid eyes on his nephew’s killer for the first time.
“I couldn’t believe such an disgusting organism exists on the face of the earth,” he told 7NEWS outside court.
“He should go away for the rest of his life and die hopefully as an old man in jail so he can suffer for all those years, death would be too good for him.”
Yandle will return to court for sentencing in July.
