A man has charged over an alleged break-in into an iconic Adelaide store in the CBD after an iPad he allegedly stole was tracked down.
The 43-year-old man from Morphett Vale has been charged with serious criminal trespass and unlawful possession after police found him in possession of an iPad he had allegedly taken from a retail store called Mr Choon.
About 4am on Tuesday, an alarm alerted police to the store on Sym Choon Lane.

On arrival, officers found the clothing store had been raided, with the front doors left open and damaged.
CCTV footage showed a man rushing to grab an iPad and cash.
The owner tracked the iPad a few hundred metres away on North Tce, leading the police to the alleged thief.
The iPad was returned to the shop owner.
Raed Hanifie, who works for the iconic store, described the incident as “horrible”.
“It could happen to anybody,” he told 7NEWS.
“We’re just unlucky that it happened to us.
“I don’t see the need to hurt a small business, especially for a few pennies.”

The alleged thief was granted bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on October 29
