A popular Adelaide racehorse trainer has been charged with allegedly attacking his wife at their Globe Derby home.
James Short, 39 of Globe Derby in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, has been charged with aggravated assault, theft and property damage during a domestic violence incident on Tuesday.
He was also issued with a Police Interim Intervention Order.

Police attended their home on early Tuesday morning following a report of domestic violence.
Short had left the premises prior to police arriving, and www.20304050.best understands he went to the local racetrack.
Short was later located and arrested.
His wife’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Short holds a current trainer’s licence.
Racing SA has been contacted for comment.
Short has worked at Lindsay Park, was a foreman for David Payne at Rosehill in Sydney, and was also employed at Harness Racing SA.
Short was granted bail and is due to appear at the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on August 6.
