Occupants of a Brisbane home have been hospitalised after being shot during a home invasion.

Police allege two men broke into the Fisher Street property at Rochdale about 4:30am, shortly before multiple shots were fired.

The two offenders fled prior to emergency services arriving at the home. They were last seen on foot.

A man and woman, both in their 30s, received gunshot wounds.

They were transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where they remain for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage within the vicinity of Fisher Street from 4am this morning is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
