A body has been found in Brisbane’s north, where a crime scene has been declared with emergency services on the scene.

The body is believed to be that of a man and was found in a Chermside creek at about 10am.

“It was called in by a person,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.

It is understood the body was located in Downfall Creek along Gympie Road near Murphy Road, close to Chermside Shopping Centre.

Investigations are ongoing, though the man’s death has since been declared non-suspicious.
