Powerball Draw #1527: The winning numbers you need for shot at $30m prize

A lucky lotto player could soon be swimming in cash.

The Powerball jackpot will surge again after no division one winners were recorded in Thursday’s $30 million draw.

The winning numbers for Powerball draw #1527 were: 12, 18, 16, 1, 14, 4, and 8. The Powerball was 14.

Despite the big carrot being left on the table, two players will take home $125,000 each from division two.

The prize pool for the next Powerball draw on Thursday, August 28 is $50m because there have been no division one winners for four straight weeks.

Entrants who match all eight numbers to earn division one honours will join a club of lucky lotto players who have scored big in 2025.

Among those is a Brisbane grandfather who became an overnight multimillionaire when he scooped the entire $31m Powerball jackpot in the July 24 draw.

And gaming authorities are still searching for the mystery winner of a $100m Powerball prize from June 12.

It has now been 10 weeks since the numbers were drawn, and the person who holds the ticket for Australia’s third most lucrative lotto prize is still unknown.

The ticket was bought at Bondi Junction Newsagency, on Sydney’s Oxford Street.

“In previous cases where people have come forward weeks, months and even years after the draw to finally claim their prize, they’ve told us the winning ticket was hiding in plain sight the whole time – in their wallet or purse, on the fridge, or just lying around in a drawer,” Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said.

“Our message to anyone out there thinking it couldn’t be them – it really could be you. You could be our mystery multi-millionaire, and you just need to check your tickets.”

There was 21 Powerball entries that shared in division one prizes totalling more than $773 million in 2024.

Thursday’s draw comes after it was revealed the Lottery Corporation plans to increase the entry price of a Powerball ticket from $1.20 to $1.40, saying it will mean bigger prizes.
