Police are appealing for help after a young boy was struck by a car in a hit-and-run.
The 11-year-old was riding his bike on a pedestrian crossing when he was hit by a silver Toyota Yaris near the intersection of Railway Pde and Ardyne St in Melbourne’s Murrumbeena about 3.30pm on May 1.
The driver didn’t stop, continuing west along Railway Pde and leaving the injured child behind.
The boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe the car may now be missing its driver’s side mirror and have released CCTV footage in the hope someone will come forward.
