A woman who had been missing for a week has been found safe.

Police were notified the 34-year-old was missing on Sunday after she was last seen about midday on May 20 in Newtown, Sydney’s inner west.

Friends said it was out of character for her to not be in contact for so long, prompting social media pleas to help spread the word.

On Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed she has been located.
