A 33-year-old has has a date in court accused of assaulting two children.

A man will face court accused of grabbing a child by the arm and touching another on the shoulder during separate incidents at a shopping centre.

Police responded about 5pm on Sunday to calls a man was “acting suspiciously” in Alkimos, in Perth’s north.

It is alleged he approached one child and grabbed them by the arm.

He is also accused of going up to a second child and touching them on the shoulder.

Police arrested a 33-year-old at a nearby service station on Santorini Prom.

The Gosnells resident will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on May 26 charged with two counts of aggravated common assault and two counts of disorderly behaviour.
