A beloved father has died after he was struck by an e-scooter in a crash allegedly caused by a drunk tourist.
Thanh Phan, 51, was seriously injured as he walked along Murray Street while out for dinner in the Perth CBD at about 8.40pm on Saturday.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in critical condition, but the “beloved husband, father of two, brother, and dear friend” did not survive.
“Yesterday evening, we received the heartbreaking news that Thanh passed away as a result of his injuries,” his family said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.
Loved ones are now flying in from Vietnam to say their final goodbyes.
Neighbours told 7NEWS that Phan, an engineer who lived in the inner-city suburb of Menora, was “unwaveringly positive, hardworking, and devoted to his wife and sons.”
Police allege the hired e-scooter crashed into Phan’s back, causing him to fall over and hit his head on the pavement.
He suffered a significant brain bleed.

The alleged e-scooter rider, UK woman Alicia Kemp, 24, was treated for minor injuries, and a 26-year-old female pillion passenger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Kemp was initially charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, but that has now been upgraded to dangerous driving occasioning death while under the influence of alcohol.
If convicted, the crime carries a maximum penalty of 20 years.
Kemp is also charged with dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm while under the influence of alcohol.
She was denied bail during a second court appearance on Tuesday.
Phan’s family have called for a review of governance and safety regulations surrounding hired e-scooters.
Kemp was remanded in custody until her next court appearance on July 15.
