Passenger dies in three-vehicle crash after car loses control south of Brisbane

A driver remains in hospital following the horror crash.

A passenger has died in hospital after a three-vehicle crash.

The 76-year-old man was in a white Kia Seltos when it lost control travelling west on Johnson Rd at Larapinta, an industrial suburb in the outer south of Brisbane, on Wednesday.

The car collided head-on with a van and a car travelling east towards Browns Plains at about 12pm.

The Forest Lakes man in the passenger seat of the Kia, and the driver, a 77-year-old Forest Lakes woman, were both seriously injured and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The man died in hospital on Thursday, Queensland Police said.

The woman remains in hospital.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
