Officers performed CPR on the man but he could not be revived.

A man has been shot dead by police in Sydney’s west after a physical confrontation.

Police attended a home on Bulah Way in Seven Hills at about 11.20am on Tuesday to conduct inquiries in relation to an outstanding warrant.

“A physical confrontation ensued and a man was shot by police,” NSW Police said in a statement.

Police performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived at the scene, but he could not be revived.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are underway.
