An urgent police search is underway for a man believed to be armed following a serious crash and an alleged shooting incident.
The search follows a dramatic incident near Canoona, about an hour’s drive west of Yeppoon in Central Queensland, where police were called to a two-vehicle crash on Kunwarara Rd in Livingstone just after midday on Tuesday.

Queensland Police said a Holden crewman utility collided with a caravan, prompting a major response from emergency services.
When officers arrived, they allegedly found firearms and ammunition inside the Holden.
A Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) declaration was made at 1.42pm, locking down a section of Kunwarara Rd (Bruce Highway).
The declaration remained in place for nearly six hours until 7.20pm Tuesday evening.
A 47-year-old woman from Cooktown was arrested in nearby bushland and has since been charged with multiple offences, including intent to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, unlawful possession of weapons and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She is appearing in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
But 42-year-old John Durham Willey remains outstanding and could be armed.

Detectives said the incident is connected to an alleged shooting earlier this month in Far North Queensland.
On September 9, police were called to a hotel in Manunda in Cairns just before midnight, where a 45-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police allege Willey attended the hotel with a firearm before shooting the man and fleeing the scene.
Willey is now wanted by police and is believed to be in the Rockhampton area.
Rockhampton is more than 1,000 kilometres south of Cairns, where the alleged shooting took place.

“Detectives have released images of a man who they believe can assist investigations into a traffic crash north of Rockhampton yesterday and an incident in Far North Queensland earlier this month,” police said in a statement on Wednesday morning.
Willey is considered armed, and members of the public are strongly urged not to approach him.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers immediately.
