Police are hunting a driver who fled the scene after allegedly hitting a young child on an e-scooter in Western Sydney.
The six-year-old boy was struck by a car travelling in the opposite direction on Musgrove Crescent in Doonside about 3pm on Friday.
Police allege the driver got out of the car briefly before getting back in and driving away.

The boy was treated by paramedics for serious injuries before being rushed to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.
A crime scene has been established and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
As part of their inquiries, police are appealing for information about a white Toyota Camry seen in the area around the time of the crash.
They believe the driver may be able to assist with their investigation.
Anyone with dashcam footage who might have been travelling along Musgrove Crescent, Adelphi Crescent and Nellie Stewart Drive Doonside, between 2.45pm and 3pm, or who saw a white Toyota Camry in the area, has been urged to come forward.
