A woman and her son have been held at gunpoint during a wild crime spree that spread across multiple days and suburbs in Brisbane’s north.

The crime rampage began when two men allegedly broke into a home on Elizabeth St in Woodend where they stole a grey Mitsubishi Triton on Wednesday morning

The next day, the same stolen car crashed into a Toyota Hilux on Pumicestone Rd in Caboolture about 4.30am, according to police.

Three men in the Triton then drove off, heading to a home on Ibis Crt in Caboolture where a mother and her son told 7NEWS they were threatened with a gun and crowbar in their driveway.

The men then stole the woman’s Mazda about 5am.

Police said two of the men then broke into a home on Thompson St in Bellmere just before 1pm on Wednesday, before fleeing in the stolen Mazda.

“Police, including Polair, tracked the vehicle for a short time before it stopped at a North Lakes shopping centre,” police said.

“The two men were located inside the shopping centre and arrested by police about 2pm.”

A 28-year-old Clontarf man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 24-year-old Mansfield man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

Both are due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Friday.

A third man remains outstanding as investigations continue, according to police.
