A pedestrian has died after being hit and trapped under a light rail carriage.
The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was hit about 1.15pm on Devonshire St in Surry Hills in central Sydney.
He was trapped under the carriage for some time.

Despite efforts by paramedics, he died before he could be released and taken to hospital.
He is yet to be formally identified.
NSW Police are investigating the incident.
Light rail services are currently not running between Moore Park and Central.
