A man has been found dead following a house fire, prompting police to arrest a woman over his alleged murder.

Police were called to a home in Port Lincoln in South Australia about 3.15pm on Thursday following reports of a small fire.

When police entered the property they discovered a man’s body inside.

A 34-year-old Port Lincoln woman was arrested and will be charged with the man’s murder.

It’s believed the man and woman are known to each other, SA Police said.

Detectives flew to the scene on Thursday night to assist local police.
