A 33-year-old man has been arrested following a string of alleged knife attacks that injured two women in northern NSW.
The man allegedly launched the stabbing spree about 9.40am on Sunday, attacking a woman with a knife on John St in the New England region’s Uralla before fleeing in a Holden sedan.
The woman, also 33, suffered facial injuries and was treated at the scene before being rushed to Armidale Hospital in a stable condition.

Just minutes later, the same man allegedly turned up at a home on Rowan Ave — just a two-minute drive away — and threatened a 23-year-old man inside with a knife.
The younger man refused to let him in, and the attacker once again fled in the Holden.
About 11am, the spree continued in the small town of Kentucky — about 15 minutes away — where a 22-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed outside a home on Noalimba Ave.
She suffered lacerations to her hand and mouth and was also taken to Armidale Hospital for treatment.
A major search involving local police and PolAir ended just after midday, when officers found the suspect hiding in a children’s cubby house at a home on East St in Uralla.
A knife was seized from the cubby house, along with the Holden sedan parked nearby.
The man was arrested and taken to Armidale Police Station.
Several crime scenes have been established across the region as investigations continue.
