A man has been left fighting for life after a shocking alleged road rage assault in Melbourne’s east.
The incident began when two cars, both driven by men, they both stopped at an intersection at Bayswater Rd and Canterbury Rd in Bayswater North about 8pm on Saturday.
Police allege that one of the men got out of his car and dragged the other man out of his car before seriously assaulting him.

The alleged offender then fled the scene before emergency services could arrive.
Paramedics assessed a 52-year-old man before he was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Police said a 32-year-old man was arrested in Croydon about 6am on Sunday morning.
The Croydon man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, as well as other assault-related charges.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
