A 76-year-old man has been charged with stabbing an 81-year-old woman on a driveway in Willetton.

A 76-year-old man has been charged with stabbing his elderly neighbour in Willetton.

Police allege that the man stabbed the 81-year-old woman after a confrontation on her Ringarooma Way driveway about 1.30pm on Wednesday.

“It will be alleged the man produced a knife and assaulted the woman, causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” a police spokesperson said.

St John WA took the woman to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment.

The man was found nearby and taken into custody. He has been charged with intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm.

Bail was refused and he will front Armadale Magistrates Court on Thursday.
