A man has died after crashing into a retaining wall south of Brisbane.

The 62-year-old man was driving a silver Nissan Patrol along Amber Crescent in Jimboomba when he crashed about 12.35pm on Monday.

He reportedly drove through a T-intersection at Edelsten Road and Amber Crescent before crashing into a retaining wall, according to police.

Paramedics rushed to the scene. However, the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
