In pictures: All the evidence you haven’t seen from Erin Patterson’s mushroom murder trial
One of Australia’s biggest criminal trials in recent memory has finally come to an end — resulting in Erin Patterson being found guilty of murdering three relatives and almost killing a fourth.
The mother-of-two was convicted of murdering her former parents-in-law Don and Gail Patterson, both 70, and Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson, 66, with death cap mushrooms hidden in a beef wellington, cooked and served up at her Leongatha home on 29 July 2023.
Heather’s husband Ian Wilkinson, 69, spent months in hospital but survived.
Here are the exhibits that were presented to the 12 jurors who heard evidence from more than 50 witnesses across the ten-week trial.
Patterson will be sentenced later this year.
