A homicide investigation is underway after a woman’s body was found in a home.

The 48-year-old Hamilton woman was found at a property on the Henty Hwy in Hamilton, southwest Victoria, about 7.30pm on Thursday.

A 48-year-old Hamilton man was arrested after police searched the surrounding area.

Police believe the pair was known to each other.
