A serial cheater who juggled three secret marriages at the same time has learnt his fate in court after being charged with bigamy.

Florida man Henry Betsey Jr. met all three of his wives on dating sites and married all three at county courthouses over the space of two years.

He married his first wife, Tonya Betsey in Jacksonville in 2020 after the pair met on Tinder.

Two years later, he got the love bug again and walked Brandy Betsey down the aisle in Manatee County after they met on another dating app, Stir.

Just months later, on November 23, 2022, he tied the knot with Michele Narens in Hernando County. They had met on dating website Match.com just weeks before.

Unfortunately for all three women, none of them had any idea about the others.

“He said all the right things,” Brandy said.

“He sold the perfect person, when in reality, he was none of those things,” Tonya said.

Betsey’s deception unravelled when Tonya discovered he was three-timing her. She checked his name on country records and found it registered against two other marriage licenses.

“I just started county by county, putting in his name. And that’s when I came up with the marriage to Michele and the marriage to Brandy,” ABC action news reported her saying.

Michele said she had no idea Betsey was still married to his first wife until she was contacted by her out of the blue, revealing Betsey’s terrible secret.

They now believe Betsey was motivated by money, not love

Brandy said that the day she married the love rat, he told her they needed “to make your bank account a joint bank account”.

Betsey pleaded “no contest” to a felony bigamy in May and appeared in court late last week for sentencing.

“I am, unfortunately, still the wife of the defendant. I am not here today just as a woman betrayed by someone I once trusted, but I am also speaking on behalf of the other women involved,” Michele said at the court hearing.

“What he did was not a mistake. It was a deliberate choice and choices have consequences.”

In an address to the court Betsey apologised for his actions.

“First and foremost, I want to apologise to the ladies and I want to apologise to the court administration and to my family and friends that had to be involved in this. Because ultimately this is something that I didn’t wish to be part of,” Henry said.

But Michele was not buying the apology.

“I’m sure that it was only said because it was recommended by his attorney to say. Do I think he has any remorse? Absolutely not,” she said.

The wives also blame the state of Florida for not cross-referencing marriage licenses before the nuptials were allowed to go ahead and are now campaigning to increase safeguards so it does not happen to anyone else.

While his wives were hoping Betsey would be jailed, he was sentenced to two years probation with eight days credit for time served.

He has also been ordered to stay off dating sites and to not contact his former wives.
