All five people have been taken to hospital.

Five people have been injured after a driver lost control and crashed into the back of a fence.

The group was inside a vehicle when it hurtled through the end of Clearly Crt and into an adjacent park just after 1am on Saturday at Clayton South in Melbourne.

The car then crashed into the back fence of a factory that fronts Whiteside Rd.

It ended up on its side, leaving the driver and four occupants trapped.

Three men and two women, aged between 19 and 25, were rescued from the vehicle.

The four passengers and driver were all taken to hospital.

A man with upper body injuries in a serious condition, a woman with suspected upper body injuries in a stable condition, and a man with suspected upper body injuries in a stable condition were taken to The Alfred.

A woman with upper and lower body injuries in a serious but stable condition was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital.

A man with an upper body injury in a stable condition was taken to Dandenong Hospital.

“Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision with the male driver to be interviewed in relation to the incident,” Victoria Police said.
