A young boy injured in a carpark tragedy that claimed the life of his baby sister is improving in hospital.
The five-year-old and his five-month-old sibling were struck by a vehicle in the carpark at Minto Mall in Minto, in Sydney’s southwest, on Monday afternoon.

The boy suffered head injuries and is recovering at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, with family telling 7NEWS he is now in a stable condition.
It is understood a 35-year-old woman was trying to move her car forward to make more room for the pram when she accidentally reversed over them.
Emergency services were called to Brookfield Rd about 3.30pm and did what they could.
“Police commenced CPR on the infant before she was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics,” NSW Police said.
Sadly the girl could not be saved.
Mourners gathered at the scene on Tuesday, with some in tears as they laid floral tributes to the little girl whose life was cut short.
“The community is really affected by this but they will come together, they will embrace and we are a tight-knit community,” Campbelltown Mayor Darcy Lound said.
The crash remains under investigation.
