A driver has died after his truck crashed into a unit of a retirement village.
Emergency services were called to James St near the intersection of Anzac Av in Newton, Queensland, about 1.15pm on August 8, following reports of a serious crash.

The truck, travelling eastbound, collided with a Nissan X-Trail heading in the opposite direction before mounting a traffic island and crashing into a unit at the Oxford Crest Retirement Village, police said.
It ploughed through a fence and tore the building apart upon impact.
The driver of the truck was trapped in the wreckage for some time before paramedics could reach him.
The man in his 50s died at the scene.
Four people inside the Nissan escaped with minor injuries.
A woman inside the unit at the time was treated for shock, police said.
The crash occurred opposite the entrance to the local shopping centre, Clifford Gardens.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
