Video of the moment, which was shared online, shows the pair looking shocked when they realise they’re being broadcast to the entire stadium.
Cabot was seen covering her face with her hands while Byron ducked completely out of frame.
“Oh, look at these two. You’re all right. You’re OK. Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin joked.
The clip of the pair spread like wildfire across social media platforms including X and TikTok, where they racked up millions of views and thousands of comments.
Online sleuths were quick to identify the pair and reveal they were both married, but to other people.
According to a now deleted LinkedIn post, it appears as though Cabot only started at the company seven months ago.
Speaking on Cabot’s appointment in a statement on Astronomer’s website, Byron speaks highly of the executive describing her as a “proven leader”.
“At Astronomer, our people are the most valuable asset in helping our customers do more to gain a competitive advantage with their data,” said Byron said.
“Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory.
“She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”
Astronomer is a software development company founded in 2018 and based out of New York.
Neither Byron, Cabot nor the company have publicly responded to the incident.
A fake statement from Byron has been doing the rounds on social media which appeared to originally be shared on X.
“What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake playing out on a very public stage,” the fake statement read.
“I want to sincerely apologise to my wife, my family and the team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader.”
The statement then concluded with some lyrics from popular Coldplay song ‘Fix You’, cementing the fact the statement was fake.

‘Dump’ him
Byron’s LinkedIn account, which has now been deleted, was flooded with comments from people making jokes about the incident.
“How was Coldplay with Kristin?,” one person asked.
“So, are we all here because he cheated on his wife during a Coldplay concert?,” another said.
As well as identifying the couple from the kiss cam, the internet also managed to find Byron’s wife on Facebook, inundating her posts with comments of sympathy.
“So sorry that you’re going through this,” one person said.
“This is a terrible circumstance. I don’t know you but I’m wishing you the best and much love,” another said.
Others tried to hype the woman up, urging her to take husband to court.
“Girl dump his ass and get a good lawyer. You’re too much of a baddie to deal with this,” one person wrote.
“Take him to the cleaners. Get that alimony,” another said.
Following the fallout Byron’s wife allegedly removed his last name from her Facebook profile.
Coldplay are currently wrapping up the North American leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour.
