Adam said he originally thought it was a straightforward name and pronunciation.

“But now I am sure I have been mispronouncing it this whole time. Is it age? Is it ah-gee?” he said in a now-viral video.

“Is it a-e and the j is silent like Decjuba? I don’t know!”

Adam’s video garnered more than 43,000 views and many people in the comments were quick to express they have also often been confused.

“Never heard of it,” said one.

“Oh, I thought it was separate letters, like A, J, E, but now I realise there’s nothing separating the letters,” said a second.

“Oh, I thought it was pronounced Ar-jay,” added a third.

But others in the comments were quick to clear the confusion.

“It’s pronounced ‘Age,’ because the owners name is Adrian and nicknamed like “Ad-J,” said one.

“It’s pronounced ‘AGE.’” added another.

Earlier this week, Adam went viral after sharing his confusion over how to pronounce Aussie clothing brand, Decjuba.

Adam said in his video that he always walks past Decjuba and doesn’t know how to pronounce it.

“Is it Deck Juba, is it deck Joba?” he said.

“Is it Deek Juba, I just don’t know how to pronounce it.”

It wasn’t long before Adam’s video garnered over 100,000 views and people in the comments were quick to agree with him and express their confusion.

“Before I heard you say the store name, I knew you were going to say Decjuba,” one laughed.

“It’s okay — none of us do,” said a second.

“I’m Aussie and I have no idea either,” said a third.

A spokesperson from Decjuba even waded into the comments and revealed the answer, saying:, “The j is silent, it’s [pronounced] De-Cuba.”

Adam then posted up a follow up video in response to Decjuba, solving the mystery.
