These days, many people choose unconventional names for their children.
But a new mum in America is now questioning her choice for her baby, worried that she has given her son “an adult name”.
And while she and her husband try to decide once and for all, they’ve taken to calling the newborn “the baby” or “little buddy”.

Heather, from the US state of Virginia, said in a now-viral video that she gave birth to her son four months ago but is not convinced she likes his name.
“I named him what I call, ‘an adult name’,” she said.
“I named him Reed.”
“For whatever reason, I cannot figure out if I don’t like the name. Or if I have am just having a hard time connecting it to him because he’s like a little squishy baby.”
Heather asked viewers if any of them with kids, particularly boys with a traditionally ‘adult’ name, felt the same way.
“Did it take you some time?” Heather asked.
“I just cannot call him Reed. I keep telling my husband I don’t like his name but deep down I do really like the name Reed.”
Heather’s video received more than 22,000 views, with many people saying they liked the name.
“Reed is an awesome name. Stop worrying, you did good,” said one.
“Naming your child is an important job and I like his name,” agreed another.
“I love the name Reed,” said a third.
