EXCLUSIVE

Mecca’s Beauty Loop program is probably one of the most popular loyalty programs out there.

And most Mecca customers are familiar with the four levels of the program.

Level One: Beauty Discoverer is for shoppers who have a yearly spend at Mecca of $300-$599.99, while Level Two: Beauty Devotee is for those who drop $600-$1199.99 a year.

Level Three: Beauty Afficionado rewards customers with a yearly spend of $1200-$3499.99, and Level Four: Beauty Connoisseur is reserved for those who spend $3500 plus.

However, there is actually a secret Beauty Loop level — or a Level Five — called the “Magic Circle”.

Best friends Alex Hourigan and Sally McMullen, hosts of the podcast Two Broke Chicks, spoke to Jillie who spilled details about a “fifth level” not everyone knows about.

“Most of the public knows there are four levels but there’s actually a secret fifth level,” Jillie said.

“The fifth level is called ‘Magic Circle’ and that’s the secret level. It’s invitation only and the spend bracket is rather high.”

While no one has ever revealed what the spending bracket is exactly, it is rumoured to be upwards of $10,000.

The Instagram reel received more than 100,000 views, and people in the comments were shocked.

“Omg this is crazy,” said one.

“Spilling the tea,” said another.

“I was in it without knowing it, it was not much for what I spent, I received some Diptyque candles, and I also liked the events, they were good,” said a third.

“I’m level five, it’s wild,” added another.

A former Mecca manager recently confirmed that the fifth level did exist, in a Reddit post. Credit: Mecca

While it’s unclear what the spending bracket is, a former Mecca manager previously revealed the eye-watering figures in a Reddit thread.

“Yep, it’s called Magic Circle, it’s for select customers who spend a lot of money and is by invite only,” she said.

“They receive level four beauty boxes and also receive invites to exclusive events.

“I know that only a couple of months ago, all Magic Circle members received a $500 voucher at an event.

“I would say Magic Circle members spend on average $15,000-$20,000 per year but I’ve seen accounts with $55,000 to $80,000 too,” she said.

Mecca responds

Mecca has confirmed to 7Life that the Magic Circle does exist.

“Through Magic Circle we provide personalised service and access to exclusive events and opportunities to a select group of our most passionate and loyal Level 4 customers,” a Mecca spokeswoman told 7Life.

“Our Magic Circle customers are those who regularly shop with Mecca, engage with our team and are active members of our beauty-loving community.”
