A single mother is getting by a whole lot easier thanks to the generosity of her boss.
Every day for more than a year, Crystal Lachance of Oregan would make a five-kilometre trek to her job at KFC.

She concedes she was "struggling a lot" but maintained optimism that her luck would turn.
Her positive outlook came to fruition last week when she turned up to work with a brand new car waiting for her in the carpark.

Her manager at KFC, Miranda, had entered her in a company-run foundation program without her knowledge.
The program recognises employees who go "above and beyond" and decided Crystal was well-deserving of a gift.
Recounting the experience on Facebook, Crystal said it "made my day".
"I feel so blessed today and I just love my job and my boss Miranda, she's seriously the best boss ever."
She later shared photos of her nine-year-old son standing with the Dodge Avenger, saying he loved it too.
