Nurses have been seen placing tiny face shields on newborn babies to protect them from coronavirus.

The images were taken in the newborn nursery of Paolo Hospital in the Samutprakarn province, central Thailand.

The adorable pictures have been widely shared online with people praising the healthcare worker’s actions.

“That’s so sweet of the nurse, God bless and protect them both, and of course all humans in this world,” one Facebook user said.

“Nurse is doing an excellent job!” another added.

Newborns, infants and toddlers can get COVID-19, but it usually appears in a much milder form.

They can experience cough, fever, shortness of breath, and sometimes even gastrointestinal symptoms.

On Wednesday, Thailand reported 111 new cases of the virus and three deaths, taking the country’s fatalities to 30.
