One year ago Farmer Wants a Wife favourite Olivia Benic was “giggling” with her friends about the idea of going on reality TV to find love.

Today she is settled with Farmer Matt, after finding love in the 2023 season with her “life human”, marveling at the difference a year can make.

Olivia took to Instagram over the weekend to share an update on life with her farmer.

“One year ago I was giggling with my friends about potentially going on TV to hopefully meet my life human…” she began.

“I thank the stars every day for letting us find each other (even if it was via the most chaotic of ways).

“I love how devoted you are, I love how patient you are…I just love you.”

Farmer Matt was quick to take to the comments and respond, “I love you”.

Fellow Farmer Wants a Wife alumni Claire Saunders responded, “Gorgeous you two”.

Others left comments for the couple, including one who wrote, “Mum and dad foreverrr”.

“Congratulations to a very sweet couple,” another said.

“Beautiful souls,” one wrote.

“You two are amazing, I love you,” added a user.

The update comes a week after Olivia shared advice for Farmer Wants a Wife hopefuls applying for the upcoming 2024 season.

“Heaps of people have actually reached out and said that they’ve applied for Farmer. Very well done and good luck,” she said in a video update.

“I think the biggest advice that I can give to anyone looking at this point is if you are looking, you know, you have to give it your all and be prepared that it’s going to be a bit of a bumpy ride, but, just brace yourself and you need to make sure you’re in a good place and have a good support network.”

She added that when it comes to preparing for a stint in front of the camera it helps if you have “some things in your head that you’re ready to talk about”.

“They’re really gonna ask you things like, ‘What does love mean to you’ and. ‘Why have you applied for the show’ and ‘What’s attracting you to this farmer and why now’ blah, blah, blah.”

She added that as long as those answers are well thought out, “you’ll do great”.

“So good luck and good night,” she ended her video.

The new farmers have been announced with Bert, Joe, Dustin, Tom, Nick, Zac, Todd and Dean all looking for love.

Farmer Wants a Wife returns to Channel 7 and 7plus in 2024.
