Now I simply shop from my laptop, curating a list based on what’s in my fridge - which I can keep checking in case I’ve forgotten what miscellaneous items exist at the back - and have the weekly shop finished in 45 minutes tops.

I then get it delivered the following day at a time that’s convenient for me.

One delivery driver even offered up his mother’s curry recipe upon exchanging the bags with me at the door.

To celebrate Black Friday, Woolworths, for a limited time, is offering shoppers a special deal on its “unlimited delivery” subscription.

The subscription, usually $119 a year, allows shoppers to get as many home deliveries as they like.

But customers who purchase a subscription between November 15 to 28 will get 50 per cent off - making the subscription only $59.50 for the first year.

All you need to do is sign up to an annual plan before Tuesday November 28.

The offer is valid for new and returning subscribers without active subscriptions.
