Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington left viewers in stitches during a segment on portable gadgets to beat the heat this summer.

On Friday, the pair tested out three Amazon products that retail for less than $80 that shoppers are stocking up on ahead of Australia’s hottest - and driest - months.

Shirvo was first up with the website’s Portable Waist Clip Fan, which at $19.99 is a steal for attaching to your belt loops and cooling down your lower back.

The product’s strong battery helps it push cool air towards your skin so you can cool down fast.

It can also be clipped onto your laptop, onto a tent while camping, or even attached to the air conditioning vents in your car for extra air circulation.

“It’s literally blowing air and you can share it around,” Shirvo explained as she showcased the product on his belt loop.

He then left co-host Nat in hysterics with an unexpected shift.

“If you get really hot you can turn it around and put it down this way,” he said, shoving it down the front of his pants.

Nat doubled over in laughter at the cheeky act.

“Cooling the pants,” Shirvo added as he wiggled around. “It actually feels quite nice.”

Nat tested the $59.99 Portable Neck Fan which pushes air up towards your face, while also looking like a stylish pair of headphones just lazily draped around your shoulders.

Fitted with three turbines, it is designed to give you 360 degree airflow while you walk, workout or even just potter around the house.

“My ears are getting cold,” Nat remarked.

Finally the hosts tested out the Icy Neck Vest, which is designed to be submerged into cold water before you place it over or under your clothes to cool down your core temperature for two hours at a time.

“The key is on-the-go convenience,” Sunrise tech expert Val Quinn said.

“It could be something you use on your way to work to help you stay cool ... so you don’t show up all sweaty.

“Some might find these gimmicky but really others will find this a great respite for this scorching summer weather.”
