In the 1990s, supermodel Kate Moss’ every move was mirrored by the fashion elite - with everything from what she was wearing, to eating, to her favourite places to pick up a coffee emulated around the world.

And that level of obsession appears to be genetic, with Moss’ only daughter Lila now walking firmly in her mother’s Chanel-branded footsteps.

One of those necklaces belonged to Alana Maria Jewellery, an Australian-born brand started in 2018, which now has three boutiques in NSW: Byron Bay, Freshwater and Bondi Junction.

Lila was sporting the gold-filled Muse necklace, which retails for $119, and features seven small round pendants on a dainty chain.

Alana, 25, founded the brand from the bedroom of her family home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches before deciding to launch online.

She produces every piece in-house at her studio in Freshwater and all of the products are produced to order, meaning wastage is controlled and each piece is bespoke.

Alana’s success includes having expanded into the US, and hosting two pop-up stands in Los Angeles this year alongside well-known Australian brands, Asta Resort and Spell.
