Jessica Rowe has raved about why she swears by an air fryer for making all sorts of tasty food, and the popular gadget is currently on sale.
The TV personality and podcaster loves using Philips’ XXL Air Fryer to make “perfect” apple turnovers, among a host of other things.
The XXL Air Fryer, on sale at Myer for $350 instead of $499, uses hot air to fry your favourite foods with little or no added oil.

Unlike many other air fryers, it is one of the only products to automatically adjust the time and temperature during cooking to ensure you always have perfectly cooked dishes.
There are hundreds of recipes featured in the companion app, and it’s claimed the device will cook your meals 1.5 times faster than an oven.
Jessica Rowe in particular likes to make apple turnovers in the gadget.
She wrote on Instagram: “Forget Breakfast at Tiffany’s when you can have apple turnovers in your Philips XXL Air Fryer! See how easy it is to make!”
The 53-year-old said you only need around 20 minutes to make the apple turnovers, and 10 minutes of cooking in the air fryer.
Reviews online for the Philips XXL Air Fryer are similarly glowing, with shoppers describing it as “fantastic”, “very convenient” and “just perfect”.
“This is the appliance you never knew you needed. It’s the best of its kind,” one shopper wrote.
“Fantastic machine, my wife is using it everyday. It is very easy to set up and operate. Frankly we are not using the oven anymore as this machine does everything the oven does on small scale. How to make Jessica Rowe’s apple turnovers
1. Put some honey on some baking paper.
2. Next up slice your apple, sprinkle it with cinnamon and brown sugar and put it on the baking paper.
3. Get some ready-made puff pastry and use a fork to make it look “super fancy” around the edges with pricks.
4. Put it in the air fryer for 10 minutes or “enough time to sip your coffee and dream of New York City”.
5. Enjoy.
